Travelogue

  • Cleanliness enthusiast tested with full marks! The cleanliness of this Yaduo exceeds expectations

As someone who travels frequently and has strict requirements for accommodation hygiene, my first criterion for choosing a hotel is always "cleanliness". This time, I came to the Shanghai World Expo Center to participate in an industry exhibition and booked Atour Hotel Shanghai World Expo Center with a try and see attitude. After staying, I immediately included it in my regular stay list for business trips in Pudong - its hygiene details completely met the needs of all cleanliness conscious guests.
When checking in, I first paid attention to the front desk area. There was no water stain on the countertop, and the buttons of the self-service machine and the armrests of the sofa in the rest area were polished to a shiny finish. Even the corners and crevices were not covered in dust. The first impression I had upon entering was particularly good. When the front desk staff handed over the room card, they deliberately wrapped it in a clean card holder and did not directly touch the surface of the card with their hands. This small detail instantly relieved me of most of my concerns.
After entering the room, I did a round of "hygiene checks" according to my own habits: first, I touched the door handle and switch panel when I entered, and there was no oil stains or fingerprint prints; Opening the pillow and looking at the corners of the pillowcase, there were no old yellow marks, and upon closer inspection, only a faint scent of laundry detergent was detected; The glass mirror in the bathroom is wiped clean without any water stains, and there is no hair residue on the floor drain in the shower area. The toilet seat and countertop have been disinfected twice, and there are also disinfectant wipes placed nearby. Guests can clean them themselves at any time. What surprised me the most was that many hotels tend to overlook the air conditioning vents, deep wardrobes, and under desks, all of which are clean and free of dust. There is not even a trace of debris in the curtain tracks, indicating that the cleaning was really thoughtful and not just a casual formality.
The hygiene of the hotel's public areas is also surprising, with staff patrolling the breakfast counter at all times. If any food residue falls off the table, it is immediately cleaned up. The tableware is all sterilized at high temperatures, and there is no slippery touch when held in the hand. The keys in the elevator hall will be disinfection and sterilization every hour, and there is also a wash free disinfection gel beside it, which can be accessed at any time. Even the hallway carpets that many chain hotels easily overlook have no stains or odors, stepping on them is clean and there are no traces of snack crumbs or coffee stains.
I haven't encountered any hygiene problems during my two days of stay. Even though I left on the go, the housekeeping staff quietly tidied up the room and replaced all the towels with new ones. The used water cups on the table were also disinfected and neatly arranged. Even the charging cable that I casually placed by the bed was gently arranged in an unobstructed position, and I didn't casually flip over my personal belongings. The hotel's location is also very convenient, just a few minutes' walk to Yaohua Road subway station, making it easy to commute to the Expo Center for exhibitions and dining around. For someone like me who has high requirements for accommodation hygiene, Atour Hotel Shanghai World Expo Center is a completely open choice. Next time I come to Pudong for an exhibition, I will definitely book here directly.Show more

  • There is a small courtyard hidden next to the World Expo

This time I came to Shanghai to see the exhibition at the World Expo Park, I specifically chose Atour Hotel Shanghai World Expo Center. After staying there, I realized that it was not the same chain hotel as I had imagined. The small courtyard hidden in the bustling city and the detailed experience directly filled the happiness of this short trip.
Walking 230 meters from Changqing Road subway station, it takes 4 minutes to reach the hotel entrance. The dual subway lines of Line 7 and Line 13 intersect, so whether you're going to Lujiazui to visit attractions or the New International Expo Center to attend exhibitions, you don't have to take a detour or transfer. The most surprising thing is that the hotel is not located on the main road at all. After turning into the side road, there is instantly no noise of traffic. Upon entering, there is a neatly maintained small courtyard with green plants climbing over the fence. When the wind blows, the leaves rustle. Just as I walked out of the crowd at the subway station, my whole heart instantly quieted down.
The efficiency of checking in at the front desk is particularly high. Upon learning that I am a guest attending a concert, I was specially arranged a high-rise room not facing the street to avoid being disturbed by road noise when I returned late at night. The first impression of entering the room is cleanliness. A hygiene score of 4.9 is really not false. You can't even find any floating dust on the table or bed edge. Although hotels in Shanghai are generally not very spacious, they are well-equipped with Bluetooth speakers, screen mirroring TVs, and high count cotton bedding. After closing the door, the sound insulation effect far exceeds expectations. Even if someone is talking in the hallway, there is almost no sound in the room. After a busy day, you can fall asleep and sleep soundly all night.
Yaduo's classic service is fully played here. When he comes back from the concert late at night, the front desk also brings out a hot late night Congee. A bowl of soft millet porridge is under his stomach, and his body is instantly warm after the night wind blows all the way. The breakfast on the second day was more than expected. Chinese and western dishes were full. The freshly cooked Yangchun noodle soup had a fresh and fragrant bottom, and the self-service bean curd jelly served with sauce could be added with any small ingredients. Even the freshly baked Oubao was no less delicious than the bakery outside. What surprised me even more was that there were three soft little cats in the hotel. When passing by the lobby, they would come over and rub their hands on you. The exhaustion of the journey was instantly healed by these little creatures.
Friends who drive here don't have to worry at all. The hotel comes with a free parking lot and fully equipped charging stations, making it particularly convenient to recharge new energy vehicles. Strolling around and eating is also very convenient. It takes only a few minutes to walk to Changlu Night Market, a few minutes to take a taxi to the Eternal Scene Area, and a walk to the World Expo Park is just a walk away. There is no excessive commercialized noise, only just the right amount of thoughtfulness and relaxation. Whether it's for business trips, exhibitions, or short trips to Shanghai, Atour Hotel Shanghai World Expo Center is a choice that can make people stay particularly comfortable. Next time I come to Pudong, I will definitely choose this place directly.Show more
